This topic is about the question of hefsibae... Is Speaking In Tongue... Is it the only sign to prove the presence of the Holy Spirit? *

According to the Bible beginning in ACTS 2 during the Pentecost day Yes, Speaking in Tongues it is the only sign that a believer is filled with the Holy Spirit. (ACTS 2:4) It is a gift from God.
But there is also a warning in 1 John 4:1 ... not all who Speak in Tongues is come from God. that's why the Bible cautions us not to believe every spirit, but to examen them. *

hi i think it is a gift among the 9 gifts if i cannot speak in tongue then i can prophesy hence it isn't only the sign *

THE ISSUE OF TONGUES NEEDS TO BE APPROACHED CAREFULLY. THERE IS SPEAKING IN TONGUES AND THERE IS PRAYING IN TONGUES. BOTH ARE NOT THE SAME. ROM 8:26-27, 1CORINTH 14:14-15 & JUDE 20 (ALL THESE SCRIPTURES REFER TO PRAYING IN TONGUS.)
1 CORINTH 14:1-5,22-23 THIS SCRIPTURE IS TALKING ABOUT THE GIFT OF THE SPIRIT, WHICH WHEN INTERPRETED EQUALS TO PROPHESY. SEE VERSE 5 *

Friends, if we understand that the devil can make counterfeit tongues, we can NOT conclude that speaking in tongue shows presence of Holy Spirit. And not everyone who has the Holy Spirit speaks in tongues!! Please take time to read 1 Corinthians 12:7-11. *
