You can only live a holy life when you endeavour to be righteous in all you do. Now righteousness is not a requirement of salvation, it is a result of salvation and it grows with years of christian experience. Salvation requires faith. Faith brings about the grace of God. Through grace and mercy our sins are forgiven, our task is to repent and never to follow the old ways again. If this is not done then what you just alluded to results *
